On Monday we went to the Andy Warhol Museum. It was interesting to get a
fresh perspective on someone who had such a visual impact on the culture we inhabited. For the first time, it dawned on me that so much of the art we saw on Saturday Night Live and on MTV descended from Warhol’s work from the sixties and beyond. Very enjoyable. After we left the museum, we had lunch at the Pirate-centric North Shore Tavern, then saw some sights, including the Rachel Carson Bridge and the view from the Duquesne Incline, a funicular that scales Mount Washington near the South Side.
