PARIS TO NORMANDY TO PARIS, SEPTEMBER 22: THE LOUVRE

It’s a bucket list thing: you may be a civilized person, but if you haven’t heard an orchestra play Beethoven, if you haven’t seen Shakespeare being performed, if you haven’t seen the Mona Lisa, well, there’s something lacking. With our trip to the Louvre, at least one of these perhaps imaginary deficiencies has been addressed. During our tour, we saw numerous masterpieces: the Venus de Milo; the Niké of Samothrace; Liberty Leading the People by Eugène Delacroix; The Raft of the Medusa, by Théodore GéricaultCupid and Psyche; and The Sleeping Hermaphrodite.
