CAPE COD FAMILY VACATION

The eight of us–Molly, Shawn, Cara, Connor, Ivy, Logan, Ginny and me, with our friends Greg and Susan Schmidt often sitting in– had a largely pleasant week at a house we rented in Hyannis. I missed the group outing to Martha’s Vineyard and Shawn’s fishing expeditions–but there were still many highlights. We took a boat out of Harwich to go seal watching, and indeed, saw some seals, followed by an excellent fish sandwich. Ginny and I also visited the JFK museum and the JFK memorial, and had a seafood dinner with the Schmidts at Baxter’s on the Wharf. On the Fourth, we saw the boat parade in Hyannis. The following day, Ginny and I took Ivy to the Cape Cod Children’s Museum, and then headed up to Provincetown for sightseeing and lobster rolls. They have a library there that has a boat on the second floor.  We also at a fair amount of ice cream.
