Cara and I spent the morning with our friends Paul and Nadia Lindstrom shooting clays at the splendid facility at Orvis Sandanona in Milbrook. We had a lot of fun, especially Cara, who got to drive a golf cart.
In the early hours of Sunday morning (the 26th), in the murky riding shed at Chickory Meadow Farm, Cara won her first blue ribbon, finishing first in equitation among her classmates. She also competed in jumping events. Good job, Cara–congratulations!

Congratulations to Cara and her friends in the Summercliff Players on their excellent performance of Les Miserables. It’s amazing that they were able to pull together this complicated show in just five weeks. It was very, very enjoyable, and I was happy to see that Cara seemed to enjoy the experience so much.
